Michelangelo Antonioni Dead at 94

So strange how I had just been thinking of his films this morning (see two posts below). And a coincidence that Antonioni passed away on the same day as Ingmar Bergman. Two of the most extraordinary film artists of all time.

You've turned me on to some great movies over the years, most notably The Seventh Seal, which it might be time to watch again. Zabriskie Point, Antonioni's flawed masterpiece, remains a favorite of mine even though I might be in the minority on that one...

I'm thinking maybe we should have a mini Ingmar Bergman film festival, and watch a lot of the films we haven't yet seen. In reading Bergman's obit, I realized there are many great ones I've yet to see even once. Care to join me?
